The United Way of Washtenaw County announced they will be debuting an online volunteer center by the end of this summer at their recent Annual Meeting. The center, which will be free to the Washtenaw community, will connect community members interested in volunteering with local non-profits in search of volunteers. Gerald Ambrose of Mason, MI was recently awarded the Walter A. Campbell Award for Outstanding Volunteerism by the Capital Area United Way. The award represents the highest honor given to a volunteer of the organization. Gerald accepted the award in front of more than 150 local volunteers.
