United Way of Jackson County Volunteers LIVE UNTIED!The
United Way of Jackson County formed a partnership with the Jackson
County Master Gardener’s Association to create one garden a year for at
least nine years, along the front of the United Way building. Each
garden will be dedicated at their annual meeting to United Way of
Jackson County award-winning donors. The first phase, completed in June
during their Day of Action, was to clean up the existing planting
plots. They had 22 volunteers weeding, pruning, digging, and hauling
for 3 hours! The results were instant and they got a great start on
the project. Soon, the Master Gardeners will get to work planting this
year’s garden.
