Chrysler Group LLC will donate 160 Samsung Galaxy tablets to the United Way for Southeastern Michigan to help Detroit students become college and career ready. The tablets will be loaded with financial planning and educational tools and will be given to college-bound juniors and seniors at high schools that are part of United Way's High School Turnaround Initiative. The United Way of Genesee County is requesting proposals from neighborhood-based youth recreation organizations, clubs or groups serving low-income youth residing in the city of Flint. The funds can be used for recreational supplies, entry fees for tournaments and field trips and contracted services for transportation and facility rental. You can read the full MLive article here
